Sabrina's "Girl Night Out" Riding the BUS to Club 200 - September 26, 2024Sabrina

Ever since the late 70's when I used to take the bus to work I'd see pretty girls on the bus and of course wished I could be wearing skirts and heels just like they were. So when the Girls of Maquerade planned a "Girls Night Out" to Club 200 on the evening of Thursday, September 26, 2024, and it turned out prios commitments had been changed, I jumped at the chance to join them.

I was off work earlyy enough and a relaxing time getting ready for the evening and was looking forward to the adventure. I had chosen my "Signature" Style, black leather mini skirt with a red body suit, black hose and ankle boots with a "Sensible" heel hight, did my makeup at my lighted makeup mirror and was ready by 7:45 PM leaving me several minutes to relax before I had to leave to catch the 8:08 PM bus at the bus stol just outside my apartment.

I had left the house I used to live at hundreds of times by car. This was the first time I had left my apartment en fem. I walked out the side door and across the street to the very same bus stop I've been taking to work. Walking to the bus stop in a mini skirt and heels was indeed more exciting! I stood at the bus stop a few minute, and took a selfie before my buss arrived. Walking on board, paying my fare, walking down the isle to take a seat near the middle just seemed normal, althrough this simeI was wearing a mini skirt and heels. As the bus pulled away I was thinking it had been a long time since I first wanted to do this. Dreams do come true. And I have to say it was a very comfortable experince riding the same route I've taken many times, with passing glances to and from people getting on or off the bus.

I had planned to get off the bus on Graham Avenue at Gary Street so pulled the cord to request the stop, stood up and made my way down the isle to the front door with my heels clicking along the way. As the bus came to a more sudden stop I kinda stumbled at the front of the bus to which the driver said "Sorry about that mam"! I thanked him as I got off the bus and walked the block south to Club 200 arriving at 8:50 PM and found there was a paid event in progress until 9:30 PM. Since I didn't have a ticket and would have to wait till 9:30 PM to get in to look for the girls I decided just to enjoy the night air and went for a walk in downtown Winnipeg.

Returning to Club 200 for 9:30 PM when I could get in I paid the cover charge and went inside to look for the girls thinking they were already inside. Not finding anyone, and not knowing where else to look I got a drink from the bar and sat alone at a table for about 45 minutes waiting but still no Girls of Masquerade attending. Since no one else was there and it was a "work night" I checked the bus schedule and planned to catch the 10:35 bus back home, left the club and walked back to Graham Avenue while of course stopping to take a few selfies along the way.

Arriving at my bus stop a guy on a bench offered me his seat. I thanked him and let him know I'd prefer to stand. Why not I wanted to enjoy standing there ni my mini skirt and heels. As I waited to women walked by giving me a passing glancea and after they had passed one turned to the other and I overheard a commnet "I love her skirt". The key word being "Her" giving me that comfortable feeling that if they figured it out or not they were accepting me as I was presenting myself, a happy girl out for the evening.

On they way to Club 200 I had chosen a seat near the middle of the bus so getting on the bus this time I took an isle facing seat at the front of the bus and sat with my legs crossed, not wanting to hide from anyone, and enjoyed the ride back to my apartment. Getting home and walking up the stairs to my apartment just seamed all normal, even through this was the first time I had done it wearing a skirt and heels. I couldn't wait to do that again.

I did find out later that the Girls of Masquerade had gone to Club 200, found out about the private ticket event, and had changed their plans and gone to Park Alleys instead. Oh well. I didn't get to meet up with the girls however I did enjoy my solo trip to downtown Winnipeg on a transit bus for a drink at Club 200.
