Shopping with my daughter...!

On Tuesday, November 13, 2001, my daugher met who she refers to as her "Aunt Sabrina" for the first time. We were both pretty upset that I didn't make it to her halloween party, as she was really lookiing forward to seeing this special part of me. So, to make it up to her, we made plans to get together after school. When we had talked about it, I had asked her if she had any prefference as to what she wanted me to wear, so I chose the skirt that she had picked out when we were shopping a while back! After agreeing on the date, I asked what would be the best way to meet, and was I suprised when she said "Just come into the school office and have me paged!" Is that accepteance or what. I really asn't ready for that, so we agreed to meet at my van near the school.

The big day came, and I have to admit, I was a little nervous. Not about being out dressed, but about meeting my daughter for the first time as Sabrina. I decided to wear my wine T-shirt with the black mini skirt, black hose, my boots and my shinny jacket:-) I was very happy with the look, but nothing seemed to work while I was getting ready. I re-did my makeup twice, and wanted to wear fake nails, but for some reason, the glue wasn't sticking. "Why today?" I kept asking myself. Settleing for painting my own nails, I was ready in time, and got to the school in time.

As 3:30 grew near, the more nervous I got. Then when I saw my daughter walking up to the van, I thought this was it! No turning back now.She got into the van and all the nervousness drained away. She told me I looked great and gave me a little present. Two very nice necklaces. I was very excited to get them to, and put one of them on right away! as we drove away, it felt so wonderful to have my daughter with me, and being so cool with it all.

Our first stop was McDonalds for something to eat. Just the drive-thru though, as we had shoping to do*S*. After eating, we got to Polo Park, my favorite mall to visit en fem, and went inside. The place was very busy with Christmas shoppers. We had a great time visiting the various shops, novelty stores, clothing stores, a card shop and lots more! She was looking for a particular acion figure at Zellers, and when she talked to the clerk about it, I was right there and not one bad feeling at all!

In my excitement of the day, I had forgotten my camera, so we stopped at the self serve photo booth and had our picture taken together!! After about an hour, we left and headed to our next stop,. "Toys R' Us". That was so cool, walking around the busy toy store with all the other parents and kids. Walking up and down the isles, I just couldn't believe how comforatble I was. I know I got some looks, from guys, so I know what they were thinking <LOL>

After leaving the store, we stopped in a nearby lot so my daughter could take my picture with her camera, then it was off to drove her home so I could get to the Maquerade meeting at 7:30. Since her mom doesn't know about Sabrina, I didn't walk her to the door, and as we said our good byes, she said she definately wanted to do this again! On the way to the meeting, I kept thinking, if this is all so much fun, then why doesn't my girlfriend accept this. Oh well, her loss!

Thanks for reading my story,

Sabrina
