Out & About "Shandi & Charms's Party-Lite Party"..

OK! So I had to do it at least once! ..Wear a skirt that went BELOW my knees!

During one of my many shopping trips I found a long pleather skirt at Vallue Village for only $20 and even though it wasn't a mini skirt, I was compeled to try it on. It fit perfect and I though for a bit.. that perhaps I should have at least one skirt that falls below my knees.

When Shandi sent out invitations to a "Party Lite" candle party that she and Charm were hosting at their place on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, that was going to be "girlie friendly", I planned to wear it, just to be a little more conservative<LOL>.

Something doesn't make sense though, about that word. "conservative". Conserve is to "use less", yet with the long skirt, there is more material! So in my mind, wearing a mini skirt, which uses "Less" material, IS being conservative!!

After work I got ready to go out to the party and was done around 6 PM with time to kill so I stopped at Lady Godiva Boutique and visited with Charlene. Charlene told me she had visited my web site and had spent time reading my stories, not just looking at the pictures. That was so special of her, to take her time to get to know more about this CD thing, which I know will help her understand the girls who shop at Mary's store.

Then Mary came in and took one look at me, walked out and came right back in, taking a SECOND look! She couldn't believe the length of skirt I was wearing. Well, to be honest, neigther could I<LOL>

After leaving Mary's store I got to Shandi's place around 7:30. Shandi, wearing her mini skirt and heels met me at the door and I guess I kinda shocked her too<giggle> Kim, the "Party-Lite" girl had set up her display and of the Masquerade group, there was Shandi, Vanessa, Jacilynn, Chantal, Natali and Rhiannon. Vanessa's mom in her regulation mini skirt was there too, and our friend Sherry (the cutle little redhead, who hasn't aged in like 15 years) plus more of Shandi's friends and the AVON Lady!!

Shandi & Charm had put on quite a spread of food, from vegetables to cheese and crackers! So it was a good thing I didn't, eat dinner. A girl's gotta watch her figure you know!

Kim did a nice presentation about the "Party-Lite" candles and passed around various pieces for us to take a look at! She is very knowledgeable about candles and even told us about "Hugging" your candle. Yes, hugging! Bending the top rim inwards as it burns to keep the candle burning down in an even maner.

It was so much fun going to an event like this. To go out and socialize and do things that are so "normal" for girls to do in their every day life. And to meet people and interact with people outside the TG Community is so special, because it brings so much reality to it. And a tremendous sense that it realy is OK just to go out and live your life the way you want to!

After the presentation it was time to "spend money" which is what girls do best <LOL>! I ordered a very pretty angel canlde holder that holds 3 tea lite candles so I pretty much spent my budget on that! By 10:00 PM it was time to head for home being that it was a work night.

Thanks for reading my story,
