Visiting with Dawn from Fargo.....

Yesterday, another girl from Fargo came up to Winnipeg! And crossed the border en femme!! Without any trouble at all! She joined Masquerade a few months ago, and was dying to get out and have some fun. So when she wrote to say she was planning a trip to Winnipeg for some "Girl time", I took the day off so I could meet up with her.

Friday, October 10, 2003, was the day of the "A Night At The Movies" drag show at Club 200, and a great time to go out for a fun evening with the girls! Aftersome running around all day, I was pretty by 5:00. I wore a long sleeved brown T-shirt and black mini skirt and my new pumps! As we had arranged, I met up with Dawn in the lounge on the 12th floor of her hotel, The Radisson, in downtown Winnipeg and we spent about an hour chatting. The place wasn't crowded, but there was a few small groups in the lounge and it was a very pleasant time:-)

Since we had time to kill before meeting Chantal and Vanessa and Jacilynn for dinner, we headed of to see Mary for a visit. By the time we made it to The Fat Angel Bistro to meet up with Chantal, Vanessa and Jacilynn, we found the place was packed and it would be an hour beforea table was ready!

Since we didn't want to be late for the show at Club 200 (As if they start on time <LOL>), we decided to go to The Old Spaghetti Factory in the Forks Market(Jacilynn decided not to join us there) where we got a table right away.

I don't know about you, but there is just no way to be lady like when eating spaghetti, so I had chicken and fries!! The waitress was nice enough to take a pic for us.

After leaving the restaruant, we stood by the old street car just outside taking pics. This nice guy came up to us and offered to take a group shot so we can all be in it, as long as he could get one with his camera!! Gee, now we are celebrities!!

After leaving the Forks we headed to Club 200 where Dawn got to meet more members, Christie, Linda, and Jacilynn, plus Mary and her son. Tthe Snowy Owl Monarchist Society was put on a drag show with the theme "A night at the movies". They performed songs from various movies and then had people guess the movie title to win prizes! Both Shandi and Charm performed songs of their own too. Visit the Masquerade web site for more pics. The evening was a lot of fun and as ussual, it was after midnight before we left and I drove Dawn back to her hotel.
