Summer colors "Wearing White"..
In all the years of my dressing, I seemed to stick closer to the darker colors. Perhaps this was in an attempt to avoid drawing attention to myself with the brighter colors, especialy "White". Earlier this year, I did stray away from my norm and did start wearing a while long sleeved T-shirt.
So as this summer began, 2004, I decided it was time to go all out. I already had a black and a red mini skirt that Le Chateau had on sale, so when I saw the white leather mini skirt on sale I just had to buy it. Then it was off to Lady Godiva Boutique where I found the perfet pair of 4 inch white leather pumps to go with it! The of course I just had to have a new top to go with them, and I found a nice red long sleeve top at Zellers!
Then came the perfect opportunity to wear my new colors...to the July Masquerade meeting, followed by an evening out at Gio's.
I do have to admit, that wearing the darker colors always made me feel "less noticable". Yet with the white skirt and shoes, the brighter colors, I did feel, at first, like I would attract a lot more attention. Yet any worries I had faded a way pretty quick and I was just as comfortable as I had been. After all, and now that I think about it, wearing the mini skirts all this time didn't make me any less noticable now did they??
On the way to the Masquerade meeting I made a quick stop at Lady Godiva Boutique and really enjoyed walking along Corydon Avenue in what I realy felt was a "New Look"! Of course I had a smile on my face as heads turned in the passing cars and yes, even one whistle! Then it was off to the meeting!. Life is great being a girl!
