Out & About "Shopping With Chantal"..
On
Tuesday, March 9, 2004, Chantal and I had the day off so it was the perfect
opportunity to go out and do some shopping before the Masquerade meeting.
The day was almost perfect, just a bit too windy, making a "Bad Hair Day!"
SInce I just love walking around the malls in my mini skirts, I chose my tightest leather mini skirt. High heeled boots and a blue satin blouse completed the outfit.
I met Chantal at Lady Godiva Boutique at aroung 4:00 PM and we headed off from there. Chantal wanted to go shopping somewhere she hadn't been before, so off we went to to the Forks Market in downtown Winnipeg.
First we checked out the main floor market, then took the elevator to the second level to check out all the specialty shops. They had everything from jewelry to clothing, and little nick nacks and crafts. After taking some pictures on the second level and the main level, we walked across the courtyard to the Johnson Terminal.
After checking out all the shops on the two floors, and having a couple of guys checking us out, we had another "photo op" and took some pictures at the "Countess of Dufferin", near the entrance, and with the bison on display. There were lots of people walking around and it was such a pleasant experience being out in the real world doing real everyday things as girls!

At the Forks Market in Winnipeg
After about an hour we left the Forks Market and headed of to the Value Village store on Pembina Highway. You just never know what great bargains you will find in the thrift shops, and some brand new stuff too. Of course we headed right for the skirt section. I found a realy nice skirt, boot length and black with a slit right up the middle at the back. ALthoguh it wasn't real leather, it sure looked it and when I looked at the price, $ 19.95, I couldn't wait to try it on. It fit perfect! God how times change. Just a few short years ago I'd be nervous shopping for girl stuff as a guy, yet now, it is so much fun to go shopping as a girl, and "Try Before You Buy"! Chantal found a realy sexy denim mini skirt so with our treasures in hand we checked around for tops to go with our new skirts!
After leaving Value Village we headed of to Hangers and checked for bargains there. Finding nothing we wanted, we hit the McDonald's drive-thru for a quick bite before the Masquerade meeting at 7:30! An afternoon of shopping was ending, but an evening out with the girlsat the Masquerade meeting was just begining!
