Shopping in With Jacilynn- "A Visit To The Bay" - Valentines Day 2003
Valentines day was such a beautiful day in Winnipeg, and a perfect day to be a GIRL!!! I was ready to go out by early afternoon, and stopped to pick up Jacilynn for a shopping trip and a visit with Mary at Lady Godiva. On our way, we stopped at Shoppers Drug Mart and bought Mary a big box of chocolates, then delivered them to her at the store. Being Valentines Day, she was pretty busy, so off we went in search of bargains!!!
The Bay store in downtown Winnipeg has a bargain section in the basement. we parked in the parkade and entered the store on the second level. I was wearing my boots, black hose, my red pleather mini skirt, and a black peasant sweater and my black jacket! Jacilynn wore a long skirt and T-shirt with her parkaand boots. It was such a blast walking past teh cosmetics counters, where all the pretty girls worked*S*. The store was very busy, with all the "Last minute" shoppers! We took the escalator to the basement and checked out all the bargain racks. I found somerealy nice skirts, although they weren't in my size.
Then, while checking other parts of the store, found the perfect leather mini skirt!!! On sale for only $ 50! I frantically looked for my size, and found only one! I couldn't get to the change rooms fast enough!! And it must have been funny to watch me almost running in my high heeled boots! The clerk smiled when showing me to a change room, and once inside, I couldn't get my skirt off fast enough! The leather mini fit a little too snug, but I was so excited that I bought it anyway. Talk about an incentive to loose weight!!!
While I was doing this, Jacilynn had found herself a new top and was also a happy girl to have walked away with a bargain. Thinking back to all the years of buying, trying, tossing, I thought to myself how much a diferencne it makes when I can actualy try on the clothes BEFORE I buy them!! Plus, now that I've seen that all the store clerks are so helpful and accepting, I can't think of a reason not to!
