Shopping at "St. Vital Centre".....
It has almost become a meeting day tradition, to get together with some of the Masquerade girls for a shopping trip and dinner before the meeting at 7:30! So, on Tuesday, September 8, 2003, I met up with Chantal, Christie and Vanessa, along with Mary and her son, for just that! An afternoon of "Power Shopping"! Oh, in our regulation "Mini Skirts and Heels!!" Christie was more conservativly dressed. I wore my black mini with a front side slit and sensible shoes and a beige long sleeved top. Mary of course, was correctly dressed, er, crossdresses in pants!!
We all got together around 3:30, and needed three vehicles to cart us all around!!Chantal, Christie and I headed off to make a quick stop at the bank for our spending cash, the met up with the rest at Value Village on Pembina Hwy. I headed straight for the skirt section to see what leather treasures I could find. Well, to my big disappointment, none were to be found<pout>Chantal found a nice slinky dress, and Vanessa found something slinky and kinky! Mary shopped up a storm too and I found the perfect lighted make-up mirror!! Christie was happy walking around checking out all the cool stuff! With our purchases made, off we went, to St. Vital Shopping Centre!
We got to the mall and parked in the north lot, entering the Sears doors. There we were, in our mini skirts and heels, proudly prancing through the store in search of great buys! We got the centre court and spotted Clair's, an accessory store, so Chantal and I told the rest we were going to check it out. The rest of the girls were going to find HMV to look for CD's (no silly! Compact Disks<LOL>) and we'd meet up with them there.
When we got to Clair's, there as a cute security guard chatting it up with the store clerk at the entrance. During a previous shopping trip, Chantal had found magneting earings, so that was what I was after!! I found the perfect ones too! A BIG diamond pair, and a pair of dangley ones too!! What a deal too. Both pairs for less than $ 20 Chantal bought a few more pairs and with our purchases in hand we walked though the mall, past the food court to HMV and met up with Mary and her son and Vanessa and ....Wait a minute!! Where is Christie???? Mary said "She's with you!" Oh Oh, Houston, we have a problem!!" A missing CD in the mall!!!
Chantal and I went back to Clairs and found no Christie!! Making our way in a big circle, we met up with Mary, her son and Vanessa, and still..NO Christie!! We kinda felt bad, since it was her first time in the mall! And at that point, we were all kinda panicing for her!! So we split up and off we went, searching the entire mall, not for bargains, but for Christie!! With no luck, I told Chantal I was going back to my vehicle, and guess where I found Christie! You guessed, standing beside the vehicle!! Seems that when she got to Clair's and saw the security guard, she though the guard was there because of us and decided to get while the getting was good! I explained to her that the guard was only there to chat up the pretty clerk, and that there was no problem!
Good timing anyway, since we had to head over to Shandi's place to give her a ride to the meeting, so off we went on another adventure, while the rest finished up with their power shopping and headed to the meeting too!
