Shopping with "Chantal & Rhaina, plus Dinning with Mary - April 12, 2005
When
Rhaina, Masquerade's member from Brandon, wrote to say she would be in
Winnipeg for the April meeting I jumped at the chance to make
shopping
plans. The after chatting with Chantal on Yahoo messenger she made plans
to join us and we all met at Lady Godiva Boutique at 3 PM.
Since it was going to be a mall trip, I chose to wear my black leather mini skirt, pumps, a red sleeveless t-top and black jacket. Rhaina was wearing brown slacks and a leopard print top with a brown jacket and boots. Chantal wore her light pink mini skirt, pink high heeled boots and a black sweater! She looked so HOT! Ready for our adventure we all got into my van and we headed off on our shopping trip!
Our first stop was to the Polo Park Shopping Centre where Rhaina wanted to check out the Tall Girl store for a new jacket. Walking into the mall is always so thrilling when wearing short skirts and Rhaina commented that she would have to if she had known, then corrected herself that she "Should have known" since she has been out with me before! Chantal and I browsed through the Tall Girl store and chatted with the staff while another clerk looked after Rhaina in her search for a new coat. Plus we got a few picks of me looking through the racks, and Chantal looking sexy in her mini skirt and boots! Rhaina picked out a nice ivory coat and asked to have it held for her while we continued shopping.
Through
the mall we walked in our mini skirts and heels. Chantal and I certainly
enjoyed the looks we got from the guys. And you know, it really is a lot
of fun,
to
watch
the guys react with a quick turn away when we "catch" them! We stopped
in at the Danier Leather store where a really sexy pink leather skirt
and jacket set were on display and had a nice chat with the salesgirl about
the colors for spring.
Since my daughter has commented more than once on the need to "accessorize" I stopped in at the Addition-Ell store and found a really nice pair of bracelets which would match the chain belt I was wearing perfectly! Plus, it was buy one and ge the second at half price to it was a great find! Rhaina kept looking at jackets and didn't find anything in Addition-Ell that she liked enough to try on. While in Mariposa Rhaina tried on a top which didn't fit at all and I got a pic of Chantal browsing the racks. Our last stop was back to Tall Girl where Rhaina bought her new coat.
Our
next stop was at Penningtons on Ellice Avenue. They were having a scratch
and save sale, however we didn't find anything we liked. The best
part of that store is the three mirrors in each corner, so you can watch
yourself shop! You know the rule ... "Never get between a crossdresser
and a mirror or any other shiny reflective surface!"
Then we made our way to the Danier Leather clearance store on St. James Street. There they have some really great buys on clearance items and I have purchased a skirt from the store for $ 75 that was regular well over $ 200! Chantal found a really sexy purple mini skirt and took it into the dressing room to try it on. To bad, it was not her size. Although I found a lot of nice skirts on the clearance rack, none that I liked were in my size...12! It was simply a wonderful experience, to be out with the girls for and afternoon of shopping and feeling so accepted by everyone we came in contact with.
By 5:30 PM we arrived back at Lady Godiva Boutique to meet Mary and found out she was running late. So Rhaina, Chantal and I walked a block and a half down Corydon Avenue to Kristina's On Corydon, a restaurant we've been to a few times. Once inside we met the waitress at the door who was all smiles as she showed us to a corner table where we enjoyed some refreshments while we waited for Mary who arrived a short while later. The restaurant was not very busy and out of the whole place there was only one guy who was sitting with a nice looking woman in a skirt and jacket. He kept his eye on Chantal, who was of course sitting closest to him in her mini and boots. Besides, she looked so hot that even "I" would be looking!

The meal was delicious as always and the staff were very nice to chat with. When I think back that it was only 5 years ago that outings like this were only a dream that I thought would never happen. Thinking that my crossdressing was something I would have to experience in secret my entire life. It has been so wonderful to have made so many friends at Masquerade, which makes all these fun experiences possible! After our dinner we walked back to Mary's store then headed off to the Masquerade meeting for and evening of fun and socializing.
