A visit to Thunder Bay & "Meeting Theadora"
In my ten plus years of traveling to Thunder Bay for work, the girl side of my life was a lonely one. Since joining Masquerade in Winnipeg and making friends localy, making friends all over the place has been a lot of fun too:-)
I met Theadora through Shandi, and after writing to her and chatting on the phone, we planned to meet during my trip to Thunder Bay, on January 5, 2003.
Theadora got to the motel about 7:30. Dressed in jeans, heels and a sweater. Although she loves mini skirts, she hates the cold, and at -20 C, says it is too cold! It was so cool, being in a motel I'd stayed at many times before, and now had a guest to entertain!!
After a long visit and chat, we headed off for a drive in Theadora's car. She took me on a sight seeing tour, and showed me where the VooDoo Club is, the only place she says to go in Thunder Bay. In our travels, she asked if I wanted a coffee as she pulled up to a Tim Horton's drive-thru window! I said wait a minute!! I don't want a coffee but I'll go inside and get it!! So I did. She parked near the door, I got out and walked past several guys standing in the parking lot and walked right up to the counter. I admit, I was about a foot and a half taller than the clerk! I know I got a few looks from the guys in the restaurant, but then again, it isn't every day you see any girl wearing a mini skirt in the winter in Thunder Bay!! I got back to the car and Theadora couldn't believe I did that! Me with my big smile*S*.
We kept driving for a while yet as she showed me more of town, then by about 11:30 it was time to hear back to the motel. Because my work week was so busy, that was the only time I got out that trip.
