Visiting with "Diane from B. C. and then Dana Ann from Fargo".....
Funny how small this world is. I often get to see Diane when she comes to Winnipeg, and at the end of September 2003, she wrote to say she was coming, she said she would be spending three days in Brandon, two hours west of Winnipeg. Well guess what? I was going to be working IN Brandon at the same time!!! How about that. We got together on one of the evenings in drab and that was so cool too! To have friends to meet even when we both were working out of town!!
Then, for Wednesday evening, we planned to get together in the evening in Winnipeg and have some "Girl Time". And at the same time meet up with Dana Ann, our Masquerade member from Fargo ND! She was in Winnipeg on business too! Funny how it goes though..too much girl stuff to do and no time for work<LOL> So, after work on Wednesday, October 1, I headed to Winnipeg, got pretty in my new "Oprah" outfit (Long story behind that one, so click here)
I met up with Dana Ann at her hotel around 8:00 PM, then our first stop was at Mary's store so I gould giver her a belt I found while out shopping in Brandon. Since we bothe hadn't had any dinner, we checked the phone book for a restaurant, and off we went. Diane was to meet us there once she was "pretty"
Wouldn't you know it! We got to the place just as it closed, so off we went to Perkins right next door!! We had a very pleasant dinner in the crowded restaurant. Dana Ann was dressed in a nice pant suit, and me of course in my mini skirt (Because Oprah says it is OK to wear it<LOL>) Our waitress, who said she was new, was a little slow, but that was OK, because it gave us more "girl time" to chat. The waitress even thought she recognized me from Club 200! Small world indeed.
After a while, Diane met up with us and we visited a while before we all headed to Club 200 where we met up with Vanessa and Chantal! It was karaoke night so it was a lot of fun watching the shows too. By midnight it was time to get going, since it was a "Work week" and we all had to be up early so we could make it to work the next day. I drove Dana Ann to her hotel and headed for home, ending another pleasant evening with friends:-)
